For decades, problems that CPU manufacturers were faced to, were about lack of technology. The solution of this kind of problems is time! But nowadays the blockage of making more powerful processing units are Nature laws! Transistors, as the bricks of CPUs, have limitations in size. Because in nanometer scales, Quantum mechanics apears and corrupts the functionality of transistors. Here, time can not solve the problem. We have to find another tool to make more powerful processors.
One of the best potentially candidates for solving this problem is Quantum Computer!
In quantum computers, quantum properties of particles will be used instead of digital bits, and quantum gates must be developed to replace digital gates by.

Maybe, the major superiority of Quantum computers is the Superposition phenomenon that allows the Qubits (quantum bits that are usually coded in the spin of particles) to exist in more than one state at the same time! It sounds very odd but it's real!
this property of Qubits leads us to develope computers with real multitasking ability.
It's been a while that I'm trying to learn basic insights of quantum computing in a self study way and I found Quantum Computation and Quantum Information by M.A. Nielsen very useful about the theory of qunatum computing and information!
Implementation of quantum computers is more physical and practical and I feel that I'm interested in this part of the effort to achieve Quantum computers.
Now I'm trying to learn quantum optics focused on Quantum optics, An introdction, by Mark Fox. (If you know any useful reference I will be glad to hear! please share it!)
We can consider the world and the human brain as a network! It seems that the network systems could be fine models for the Nature!
Emergent behaviour of the Nature and the world, sometimes makes me think that network science might lead the humanity to discover the Spinoza's God finally!
Foundations of quantum mechanics
Many people might think that the quantum mechanics is reaching to a point that no development could be done about it, it is almost a complete theory. Just like classical mechanics in the late 19th century.
But obviously, there are a few points that are not discovered completely yet such as the concept of 'wavefunction collapse' or a better definition for 'measurement'. Many experts believe These points are the gateways to a new revoloution in physics.
I suggest reading Through two doors at once, by A. Ananthaswamy. It does not contain any mathematics, but describes a few significant experiments that shows the strangeness of the quantum mechanics. When the author explains 'the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment' you can see that the quantum mechanics does not offer a good intuition of measurement!
I believe spending time to find answers for these kind of questions is inefficient for me. I try to focus on quantum technology, and be cautious for new experiments and results.
Carbon-based structures, Specially Graphene!
After a computational project that I attended about Graphene band structures, I got familiar with this miraculous material! Despite of its simplicity in the structure, Graphene has exhibited lots of strange properties. It can be used to produce high temperature superconductors, to construct a platform for optical quantum computer, in flexible electronics and display screens, and so many other utilizations in technology!

I can remember that I tried to read A new kind of science once, But I guess it was too hard for me to read that time!
I will surely set a long-term plan to read the book !
Terrariums (as a hobby!)
Terrariums are miniature gardens that have been made in closed glass capsules! The water circulation may be seen when one puts the terrarium exposed to the sunlight, as little droplets on the inner surface.
In my opinion, a terrarium is one of the perfect combinations of the Nature and art! You can make a suitable isolated invironment for a specified plant, in an inappropriate weather.
They also can be made as a beautiful and minimal symbol of the Nature and wildlife within a modern life!
It is a relaxing hobby for me to make a little terrarium sometimes.
